Emma Showers

Emma Showers is a Juris Doctor candidate at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law and a Registered Social Worker (RSW) holding a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education. She brings a distinctive, interdisciplinary approach to legal practice, grounded in her clinical experience and her commitment to access to justice.

Emma has developed hands-on experience within Ontario’s criminal justice system through her work with the Ministry of the Attorney General, where she gained exposure to courtroom proceedings, disclosure review, and trial preparation. Her work reflects a strong understanding of the Crown’s role, procedural fairness, and the importance of balancing accountability with compassion.

In addition to her criminal law experience, Emma’s background in mental health uniquely positions her to support clients navigating the family justice system. She has extensive experience working with individuals facing trauma, relationship breakdowns, and high-conflict situations, allowing her to approach family law matters with both legal precision and a trauma-informed lens.

Emma is deeply committed to advocacy, transparency, and client-centered practice. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals who face systemic barriers and ensuring that clients feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout the legal process. She is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, strategic, and empathetic advocacy in both criminal and family law contexts.

Emma combines strong advocacy skills with a disciplined, client focused approach to achieve effective results. She is proud to be part of Kazandji Law and is a valuable asset to the firm.
