Founding Partner

Fadi Matthew Kazandji, the esteemed managing partner of Kazandji Law, brings over a decade of comprehensive experience in both criminal and family law. Under his leadership, Kazandji Law has distinguished itself as a firm that handles an extensive range of legal matters, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the law’s nuances.

In family law, FMK has successfully navigated cases from straightforward custody hearings to complex, contested trials. Jun Kuang

Associate

Our new associate holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Juris Master from Jinan University, an LL.B and a Bachelor of Management Sciences from North University of China. They are a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

With six years of experience as a public prosecutor in China specializing in criminal law, they have honed critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong advocacy skills, particularly in handling complex cases like murder and financial fraud. This role required effective collaboration, strategic planning, and independent decision-making.

Their work in Canada includes assisting victims of sexual offences and domestic violence. As a student caseworker at the Family Law Project, they supported low-income clients, enhancing their communication and legal drafting skills. Additionally, they gained practical experience in criminal law through simulation training and a placement at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, where they were involved in mock hearings, legal research, and client interviews. This experience provided familiarity with Ontario courtroom procedures, bail hearings, impaired driving laws, sexual offence laws, and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Their involvement in a coroner’s inquest of a triple homicide and an intervention in a criminal appeal in the Supreme Court of Canada has deepened their understanding of criminal procedures. They have also contributed to various projects, including the Criminalization of Women project, showcasing excellent research and writing skills.

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, they bring valuable linguistic skills to assist clients from diverse backgrounds.

Ansar Arain 

Associate

Meet Ansar Hussain Arain, our new Family Associate at Kazandji Law. Ansar is a Barrister & Solicitor, licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. He completed the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University and holds a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation. Ansar earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University, Toronto.

With a rich background in family law, Ansar has worked as a Junior Associate at Law Booth Professional Corporation in Mississauga. His experiance spans conducting legal research, drafting critical family law documents, and representing clients in court. Ansar possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Family Law Act and Children Aid Society issues, excelling in client preparation for various legal stages.
Previously, he served as a Legal Assistant at JSM Law, where he honed his organizational skills and proficiency in handling family court proceedings.

Ansar’s participation in the Canadian Law Society Mooting Competition at the University of Leicester and his role as a Legal Advisor in the Pro Bono Society there have further developed his legal skills.

He brings to our team excellent communication abilities and a detail-oriented approach to family law cases. Ansar is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, and skilled in various legal software. His interests include sports, traveling, and photography.

Charlotte Anderson

Articling Student

Charlotte has been designated as a U of T Scholar for her outstanding academic performance. She commenced her undergraduate studies in the Bachelors of Science- specializing in Psychology & Neuroscience-where she studied the interplay of the human mind and adherence to the law. Charlotte was named to the Dean’s List each consecutive year for her academic performance; and was a recipient of numerous awards. Charlotte’s research has represented U of T in a USA research competition. Charlotte then pursued legal studies and obtained her Law Degree, graduating with Honours status. Charlotte’s dissertation established that Canada’s legal system prevails over other nations. She completed studies within the Juris Doctor program at Osgoode Hall Law School. Charlotte completed and obtained a Master of Laws at U of T- Faculty of Law, graduating top of her class.

During her leisure time Charlotte partakes in sports and exercise; she also enjoys traveling and is a car enthusiast.

Charlotte is currently Articling at Kazandji Law. She upholds the cardinal principle held at the firm, which is to understand each clients’ individual needs and see matters through with a successful outcome to ensure justice.

Nicholas Sun

Articling Student

At York University in Toronto,  Nicholas Sun double majored in business and society and law and society. He later received a Juris Doctor (Pathway) degree from Southampton Law School in the United Kingdom.

Before attending law school, Nicholas Sun gained substantial expertise in a variety of industries, working for a Toronto immigration law firm and several corporations with corporate law in Asian countries. Through his efforts, he has effectively facilitated the admission of a significant number of immigrant families and international students into Canada.

Nicholas Sun worked as a volunteer with the Toronto Region Branch of the United Nations Association in Canada, supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals at the community level, particularly for disadvantaged and Aboriginal communities.

These days, He works mostly on family law disputes, where he continues to represent clients on both sides of the dispute with Mr. Kazandji. High conflict circumstances and complex legal concerns like child and spousal support, trusts, family business assessments, and various properties are what he handles.

Nicholas Sun have travelled more than 40 countries to gain exposure to various cultures. He takes pleasure in preparing a variety of cuisines for his friends and family. In the summer, he collects classic automobiles and is passionate about horseback riding.
